Subreddit moderator finder — who runs r/X?
Find every public moderator of a subreddit, their karma, and how long they have been modding. Useful before pitching a launch post, asking permission for a survey, or DMing a mod for a partnership.
How this works
We hit Reddit's public /r//about/moderators.json endpoint and enrich each mod with their /user/<name>/about data — karma, account age. Cap at 25 mods. AutoModerator is flagged so you can collapse bots.
Why check before posting
Knowing who runs a subreddit lets you tailor a launch announcement to the right mod, judge whether the active mod team is responsive, or notice that a sub has been ghost-modded for years.
Limits
Reddit's public mod list does not include hidden permissions or how active each mod is on a daily basis. We surface what is public; for mod activity, click through to the account analyzer.
FAQ
Why aren't all mods listed?
We cap at the first 25 mods from the official list to keep the table readable. Large subs have long tails of inactive mods that are rarely useful for outreach.
Can I see how active a mod is?
Click any mod row — it links to the Reddit account analyzer which surfaces last-30-day post and comment counts.
Are AutoModerator and bots filtered?
AutoModerator is detected by name and marked with a 'bot' badge. By default we hide it; toggle 'Show AutoModerator' to include it.
Why is my mod's karma missing?
Per-mod enrichment can fail independently (suspended account, temporary Reddit error). Karma will render as '—' when that happens; the mod list itself still loads.
