Start free trialThe "90-day GEO playbook" genre is suddenly crowded. Search Engine Land has one. Mersel AI has one. PR News pitched a "CMO's 90-day GEO playbook." Read three or four of them and the structure converges: phase 1 ship schema, phase 2 publish content, phase 3 measure citations. The Reddit chapter, in every version, is a paragraph long.
The data says that paragraph should be the whole book. Reddit is 11.97% of US ChatGPT citations and 67.8% of all uncited ChatGPT retrievals per Ahrefs. Generic playbooks optimize for the 11.97% you can see and ignore the much larger surface where Reddit is silently feeding the model. Week 2: schema and metadata. Article, Organization, Person (author bylines), FAQPage, HowTo, BreadcrumbList. Run every key page through Google's Rich Results Test.
